August 29, 2021) In Kuwait, the Ministry of Endowments has suspended the muezzin of Abdullah Bin Jafar Mosque in Al-Rahab area of   Block 1 and initiated action against him. The muezzin is accused of wearing shorts and giving the call to prayer, for which he faces legal action. Adhan has been suspended.

A short video of the call to prayer has also been aired on social media, showing Mazan wearing shorts and giving the call to prayer. Several Twitter users living in the area of   the mosque have confirmed the incident. One user said the muezzin was cleaning the mosque and arranging items in the storeroom for which he wore a beaded dress.


Then he gave the call to prayer in the same condition.


Another Twitter account confirmed that the man was cleaning the mosque's storeroom and entered the mosque in the same condition during the call to prayer. A third added that the muezzin was busy arranging the mosque library and some work before the Fajr prayers. There was little time for him to change his clothes and he had to call for prayers in the same condition. A tweet user said that he made a video of the muezzin. He first stated the reason and then complained.
