After the first marriage broke down, the second marriage also took place. However, Noorzan had refused the marriage, after which his cousin killed him in a fit of rage.


The Iraqi Interior Ministry said Nurzan al-Shamari's cousins   had pleaded guilty and said Nurzan had been killed for family reasons.
