Snowfall continues in many parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, after which tourists from across the country have turned to cold areas. Rains and snowfall in different parts of Gilgit-Baltistan continued till last night. Due to heavy rains and snowfall in the mountains, severe cold has increased in many districts of Gilgit-Baltistan.


The snowfall in these areas is good news for travelers from all over the country, but the rains and snowfall have left the people of these areas confined to their homes. It has been reported that more than 10 inches of snow has fallen in many parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, while many areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir also received heavy snowfall. Especially in the famous place of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Babu Sir Top, there was a heavy snowfall.

It has been reported that night and day rain in Chilas city and its environs, snowfall in Babu Sir Top, Ferry Meadows, Nanga Parbat also continued throughout the day. Up to 16 inches of snow fell on Babusar Top, Babusar Naran National Highway was temporarily closed due to snowfall, ground connection between Babusar and Naran was cut off due to closure of the highway. In view of the current weather conditions, the authorities have instructed the tourists to follow the instructions issued in all cases while heading to the areas prone to heavy snowfall.
