December 26, 2021: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has mobilized against the PA of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Provincial Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra for allegedly creating assets in excess of his income. The NAB has started an investigation into the matter. According to media reports, a statement issued by the NAB said that an investigation is underway against Arsalan Anjum, personal assistant to provincial minister Timur Saleem Jhagra, in connection with assets in excess of income, for which all records related to Arsalan Anjum from the finance secretary NAB Secretary has been directed to submit full details of other benefits received during Arsalan Anjum's employment. In addition, details of statements submitted by Arsalan Anjum have also been sought.


On the other hand, there have been large-scale appointments and transfers in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The Chairman NAB has approved the appointment and transfer of five Grade 21 officers. K Jameel Ahmed has been posted as DG NAB Lahore, Director General Training Mirza Sultan Mohammad Saleem has been transferred from NAB Islamabad to NAB Sukkur while Grade Mirza Mohammad Irfan Baig has been transferred from NAB Sukkur to NAB Islamabad and appointed as DG Training.Shehzad Saleem was transferred to Islamabad and posted as DG A&P.

While Jamil Ahmed, awaiting appointment at NAB Headquarters, has been transferred from Islamabad to NAB Lahore, Masood Alam Khan has been posted from A&P Division NAB Islamabad to DG NAB Operations at Headquarters. It may be recalled that earlier in October, a large number of appointments and transfers were made in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). In this wave of transfers, four Director Generals (DGs) and two Directors were transferred. According to the announcement, Director General of 22nd Grade Muhammad Abid will be transferred from NAB Headquarters Islamabad to NAB Office Quetta. Similarly, DG Farooq Nasir Khan of 21st Grade will be transferred from NAB Headquarters Islamabad to NAB Karachi and DG Muhammad Altaf. NAB Headquarters Islamabad was transferred from NAB Karachi. In this series of transfers, 20th Grade DG Mirza Muhammad Irfan was transferred from NAB Balochistan to Sukkur while Director Fayyaz Ahmad Qureshi was transferred from NAB Sukkur to Headquarters Islamabad.
