Peshawar news world Latest - NNI January 08, 2022: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mehmood Khan has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of five persons including a mother and children who were killed in a roof collapse due to snowfall in Dog Dara area of   Upper Dir. Of In a statement issued here, the Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the forgiveness of the bereaved and patience of the bereaved and said that the provincial government shares the grief of the bereaved family. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir to immediately reach Dogdara to meet the affected family and ensure necessary steps to provide them all necessary relief.


The Chief Minister also expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property in other districts of the province as a result of various incidents due to rains and snowfall and expressed sympathy and condolences to the affected families.


The Chief Minister directed all the Deputy Commissioners and rescue agencies of the province to remain on high alert in view of the recent rains and snowfall and to provide timely assistance to the affected families to deal with any expected situation due to these rains and snowfall. Necessary steps should be taken in time to ensure and re-open the roads closed for traffic due to snowfall and landslides.

The Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to relocate the displaced persons to shelters and other government buildings in their respective districts and ensure all necessary arrangements for their accommodation and food. To ensure that no one sleeps outdoors during this cold winter season, the government will provide all necessary resources for this purpose.
