Suicide blast in Islamabad, one policeman martyred, 3 injured

A policeman was martyred and 3 injured in a suicide blast in the federal capital Islamabad.

According to rescue sources, the explosion took place in the area of I Ten Four in Islamabad.

The spokesperson of Islamabad Police said that the security was on high alert in the capital and the checking was going on when the policemen stopped a suspicious vehicle for a search and the explosive material in the vehicle exploded.

The police spokesman says that according to the initial reports, the explosion was suicide, the driver of the vehicle was also killed in the explosion while 4 police personnel were injured who were immediately transferred to Pims Hospital.

Later, the police officials confirmed that a policeman was martyred in the blast and said that Head Constable Adeel Hussain was martyred in the blast.

Immediately after the blast, the law enforcement officials surrounded the scene and cordoned off the area.

According to sources, the Ministry of Interior has started investigating the explosion with the help of Safe City cameras, with the help of Safe City cameras, it will be found where the vehicle came from.

According to police sources, 18 kg of explosives were used in the Islamabad blast, and a mobile phone was also found at the scene, which has been seized.
